Our Medical Optometrists

Vista Eye Specialists is thrilled to have two medical optometrists on our team: Dr. Hoang-Nhan Le and Dr. Charles C. Pegram. These knowledgeable, caring experts share our passion for providing extraordinary care. They specialize in general eye care as well as post-operative care, macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic eye exams.

Dr. Hoang-Nhan Le is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, and InterAmerican University School of Optometry. He trained at the Santurce Medical Center and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Lake City/Gainesville, Fla., and received the Johnson & Johnson Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care.

Dr. Le practiced in Michigan and New York before joining us in Fredericksburg. He can perform eye exams in Vietnamese and Spanish (in addition to English).

Dr. Charles C. Pegram comes to us with over three decades of experience. After graduating from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and training at Philadelphia Naval Hospital and Northeastern State University, Dr. Pegram served as Chief of the Eye Clinic at the hospital at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. He then went into private practice in Roanoke, Va. Dr. Pegram taught for 15 years as Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology and Optometry at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences.

A few years ago, Dr. Pegram retired to King George County to be closer to family. Our team feels fortunate to benefit from his expertise!

With the new additions to our team, we look forward to helping you and your family enjoy healthy eyes and clear vision for life.

Flex Spending Accounts: Use It or Lose It

With the end of the year quickly approaching, our team wants to remind you that you can use funds from a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account to pay for laser vision correction and other eyecare expenses.

If you have an FSA or HSA, you probably know that these tax-free funds can be used for healthcare expenses not covered by insurance. But you might not be aware that LASIK is deemed an eligible expense!

However, time is of the essence — if you do not use the money in an FSA or HSA by the end of the year, you risk forfeiting those dollars. Before you allocate any of this money toward laser vision correction, consult with our team to ensure you are a qualified candidate.

To speak with our team about using FSA or HSA money for LASIK or other eyecare expenses, or to schedule a LASIK consultation, please call 1-888-EYE-JANI (393-5264) today.
