With other intraocular lenses, patients are able to see distant objects clearly, but require glasses to see near objects — or vice versa. 2. Available in a Toric Version
The PanOptix lens comes in a toric version to correct astigmatism, a condition in which an irregularly shaped cornea causes distorted, blurry vision. The toric PanOptix lens clears the distortion caused by astigmatism and reduces the need for glasses and/or contact lenses.
3. Outstanding Patient Satisfaction Rates
In a clinical study of 12 investigational sites, patients were overwhelmingly in favor of the new lens. More than 99 percent of patients receiving the PanOptix IOL said they would choose the lens again, and 98 percent would recommend the lens to friends and family.
