Everybody loves a good pair of sunglasses!
However, a lot of people seem to think that prescription sunglasses are…how should we put this? They think they’re dorky, because maybe they only know the ones that are blocky and almost look like glasses for the blind? Or they’re thinking about transition glasses that go dark in the sun? While both options are around and affordable, there’s actually more to prescription sunglasses that you think.
Just as with regular glasses, prescription sunglasses come in a variety of styles. There are the big, diva-style sunglasses that might have leopard-print rims. There are snap-on lenses, that hook just over the top of your glasses (and are a step up from transition lenses.) There are your everyday aviators and round frames — whatever style you’re looking for, it’s easy to find. While some people prefer to just buy sunglasses and wear them over their glasses, this isn’t always feasible. Some popular styles don’t fit over glasses, or if they do, they sit awkwardly. It adds another thing to remember to carry. Incorporating them into your prescription is a lot easier.
Keeping your eyes protected from sunlight is important. While some people are more sensitive to light than others, too much exposure can lead to eye strain and issues in the future. On a more shallow note, nobody wants to walk around squinting all the time, right?
