Haven’t all of us, at one point, sighed and wished we had a different eye color? Maybe if you had brown eyes, you felt kind of boring — or if you had green eyes, you wanted to be like the blue-eyed girls. If you’ve ever thought about being able to change your eye color as easily as your hair color, then you’re in luck.

There are color contacts, which are just as they sound — contacts that can make your eyes appear to be different colors. They come in two styles: enhancement tint, which doesn’t change your eye color but instead brings it out more, and opaque tint, which completely changes your eye color. They are just like regular contacts, with the care process being much the same, though it’s important to be mindful that they too can shift around on your eye. What does that mean? Your color might end up being half-natural, half-fake, which could end up being quite a scary look!

These contacts aren’t just for people who need them, either. While studies have shown a majority of Americans have issues with their eyes, nobody needs to walk into the eye doctor’s office claiming a problem with their eyes just for different colors! You can get non-prescription contacts easily, though some may view it an unnecessary expense. It does take a little bit of time to get comfortable putting in and wearing contacts, especially if you’re not used to it.

There are some other ways to change your eye color, too! You could choose a different color for your frames the next time you buy glasses, or you could shift to different colors in your wardrobe. Some people have even experimented with makeup to make it look like their eyes have completely changed. Whatever your method, it’s clear that a lot of people out there wouldn’t mind changing their eye color every now and then!
